The Harland’s Interior Design by Marmol Radziner

  • Acclaimed Los Angeles design firm Marmol Radziner designed the interiors to extend OFFICEUNTITLED’s architecture from the outside in.
  • White oak, walnut, Calacatta Gold marble, and dark bronze themes repeat through each residence type.
  • The amenity spaces continue the residential palette with added glamour.
  • Natural finishes were chosen to develop patina over time and leave room for each homeowner’s vision.

Designed by renowned firm Marmol Radziner, The Harland’s residences pair natural materials with the restraint of California modernism. Founded in Los Angeles by Leo Marmol and Ron Radziner, the firm has spent more than three decades designing and restoring modernist homes, including Richard Neutra’s Kaufmann House in Palm Springs.

At The Harland, the firm joined OFFICEUNTITLED in a singular collaboration, designing interiors in harmony with the building’s architecture so the same materials and sensibility continue from the façade into every room. The building’s architecture references Case Study House No. 25, with dark bronze accents on the window frames and exterior screens along Doheny Drive that are echoed inside with bronze elements in the staircases and the kitchen.

White Oak, Walnut, and Marble Through Every Room

As you move through the home, white oak floors lead from the entry to the kitchen, where Marmol Radziner and Poliform designed custom walnut cabinetry with honed, book-matched Calacatta marble slabs beneath a custom bronze vent hood, alongside a marble waterfall island in select residences. The walnut and marble elements continue into the five-fixture primary bath, from the custom vanity to an expansive marble shower. The palette stays consistent across residence types, with luxe fixtures and finishes shared across the Flats, Townhomes, and Penthouses.

Miele appliances, including integrated wine storage, complete the Poliform kitchen.

Select primary baths include an oversized freestanding soaking tub on large-format Dekton floors, finished with Brizo Litze fixtures in luxe nickel.

Natural Finishes That Leave Room for Each Homeowner’s Vision

Marmol Radziner chose wood, stone, and brick for the depth and patina that develops with years of use, the same intent OFFICEUNTITLED set for the building itself. When residents walk into their home for the first time, the designers hope they feel “a sense of calm and luxurious refuge from the city.” The neutral foundation leaves room for each homeowner’s individual style and vision to be reflected through their furniture and art, which the firm calls the most important element of home.

Amenity Interiors With Added Glamour

The shared spaces extend the residences with a little more glamour. Tongue-and-groove white oak walls and leather wall paneling warm the amenity interiors, while Bianco Carrara marble and polished brass metalwork add shine. From the lobby, the Entertainment Lounge with Bar & Billiards and the Private Dining Room and Exhibition Kitchen give homeowners a change of scenery a few steps from their front door.

You arrive at a mirror-polished brass reception desk in the 24-hour attended lobby, a detail the designers single out as unique to The Harland.
